We are excited to be starting our fall tour this weekend but due to circumstances out of our control we’re gonna have to cancel our 1st show at Kryptonite Bar in Rockford, IL. Our friends in Fundamental Elements will be there to rock the show for you. We’re deeply sorry to all our Rockford friends and fans. we’ll be back soon. we promise. we’re getting close to the new CD being finished….we’re trying to make sure it sounds PERFECT for everyone.

So after many years of requests, comments, and sheer pleading, Scratch Track is finally touring in the western part of the United States. The tour starts tonight June 5 in Denver, CO and will take Jason, DJ and new addition Danny Mark to such towns as Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and many others. Check their tour dates for any shows that might be in your area. and if you know someone in those areas, tell them to come check out Scratch Track.

New Album Coming

Scratch Track is hard at work on new songs and new mixes with a new producer in a new location. 2010 is the year of new! Jason and DJ will even be adding their new live show addition Danny Mark to a few of the tracks they’re laying down. The album is yet to be named but stay tuned for more details on how you can be one of the first to receive it!

Danny Mark

We are proud to announce the addition of saxophonist Danny Mark to the Scratch Track family. Danny is an independent touring artist and sideman with well over 10 years of touring experience under his belt, playing primarily saxes & flute. He has become a very accomplished saxophonist with far too many national acts to name, along with his countless miles on the road.

After being a good friend of ST for several years & sitting in on a few shows from time to time (when his demanding schedule would allow), Danny joined full-time at the beginning of 2010. Since then he has performed with Jason and DJ and already played shows up and down the east coast, including the NACA National Showcase in Boston and throughout the midwest. We hope everyone can come out and experience what this talented musician is bringing to the unique Scratch Track sound every night. He is truly at home while on stage and has already received rave reviews from their fans. Listen for Danny to appear on the new ST record that’s dropping later this spring. More on that soon…

3 New Mixes…Talk

This year has flown by!! 2009 is almost gone!! Lots has happened this year for Scratch Track. MTV has continued to use ‘Will You’ on several shows. ‘Don’t Go’ has been played several times on CSI NY. Independent radio stations across the US are still spinning ‘The Legend Of Wild Bill’.

Your support is really being seen on the road. Thanks so much to each and everyone of you that paid your hard earned on a ticket! This fall was one of our best tours on the east coast. Colleges, clubs, and coffee houses. I’m glad we didn’t run into any snow this time. Kind of a treat since we were driving a ton!! Anyway, last spring we went in the studio with some new friends to see if they could give us some edge on our next record. Maybe produce a few tracks and see how we felt. We recorded ‘Shaker’, ‘All Night’, and ‘WIll You’. The mixes have turned out really well. Pretty excited to show you guys the finished product. Let us know what you think. Its a bit of a different direction, but we feel it is still unique. We’ve been fine tuning our sound since day one. As an artist you want to continue growing. As a songwriter you want to continue growing. As a band, you have to keep people guessing. Its gotta be interesting enough to keep people around for the ride. We feel these mixes are the next step. Who knows what our next album will sound like. Our friends and fans have been giving us GREAT feedback after hearing our newest songs. We have been playing 4 new songs everynight in our set. We are working on a handful of others. We are always excited to give you guys new music. We also have new merch, which will be up on our site for sale, momentarily. Many other ideas are being sorted out right now. Hopefully we can shed light on some of those soon as well. 2010 will be a good year. Just like 2009 was.

On the Road… Still

Its the middle of October and Scratch Track is getting their winter coats out and ready to face the weather of the north and east coast. After breaking some new performance ground at Michigan State University and Thomas More College in Kentucky, Jason and DJ will be hitting some familiar places and seeing some familiar rest areas and gas stations. Chicago, NYC, Boston and D.C are on the list of stops before thanksgiving among other places. They got a whole new merch line to sell and new songs to show old fans and new fans alike. as December approaches, look for the boys to be doing some regular gigs in the Kansas City area. Scratch Track defines perseverance. You won’t see them slowing down anytime soon.

On the Road Again

Jason Hamlin and DJ Lee start the 2009 touring season as they ended 2008… on the road.

They already have 40 dates on their 2009 winter/spring calendar and there’s more to add as soon as the schedule holes open up.

Check the itinerary for a concert near you. They’ve also got some new t-shirts out on the road with them and they’re still promoting their newest cd “The Legend of Wild Bill”.

Also on the sad note, scratch track’s myspace page was hacked and deleted back in December of 2008 so if you could be so kind as to readd them on myspace.

Happy New Year everyone! Well we have a ton of shows coming up this winter/spring. WI, MI, WY, NY, etc….Lots of cool things in the works for this tour and new year. We’ve been writing quite a lot. Brainstorming our next moves. Pretty excited about 2009. So our myspace account got deleted for reasons unknown. I emailed everyone I could at myspace, but I guess once your account gets deleted, its gone, done…FOREVER!

Its pretty stupid that our myspace got deleted in the first place, but it seems like we should’ve been able to reopen it somehow. Oh well…over 200,000 plays…150,000 profile views….and 25,000 friends…we didn’t do to bad. Back to the drawing board…. Anyway, happy new year and we’ll try to keep up on all of our news and music and shows and merch and driving and Golden Tee and Poker and etc etc…. Jason
